Stop global warming and break America's oil addiction by organizing on campus!
Universities' vehicles are linked to a spectrum of pressing, interconnected issues including the United
States' oil addiction and global warming.
Organize! Get your buddies together to launch a
Greenfleets campaign so that your university uses less gas!
Why Greenfleets?
Greenfleets campaigns are part of the Campus Climate Challenge, a project of the Energy Action Coalition made up of more than 30 leading youth organizations and 400+ campuses throughout the U.S. and Canada. The Challenge leverages the power of young people to organize on college campuses and high schools to win clean energy policies at their schools.
A key step to a clean energy future is to make our vehicles go farther on a gallon of gas by using technologies such as electric hybrid systems that can dramatically increase fuel efficiency as well as shifting to alternative fuels such as biodiesel, ethanol and veggie oil. Since car and truck sales to institutional buyers such as cities, states, major corporations and universities account for about one-fifth of all auto sales in the U.S., changing their purchasing policies can shift the entire auto industry toward a more sustainable way of doing business.
Harness your student power to instigate change by launching a Greenfleets campaign on your campus!

Other Actions You Can Take as a Student:
Walk, bike or take the bus to school.
It not only cuts down on gas and increases demand for public transportation, but it's good for your health and wallet.
